I used to just throw the wire in a tree 80' from the tent which left the far end of the wire up high and the near end low. Now, I throw the wire over a tree as close to the operating position as I can so the wire is higher closer to the radio. The other end I go ahead and throw in a tree. This time I threw the wire over a limb about 25' high right next to the tent. The far end I threw in a tree but the end was probably only 10' from the ground. This seemed to work well.
